Human-Powered Helicopters: Straight Up Difficult by NPR

A team of students at The University of Maryland have crafted a human-powered helicopter in the hopes of snagging the $250,000 Sikorsky Prize. Their challenge sounds deceptively simple: hover for a minute, reach a height of 10 feet, and stay within a 32-foot box.
