SXSW 2013: We went, we saw, we announced majorly cool stuff
Last week a highly trained team of Vimeo operatives, armed only with mobile phones and business cards, laid siege upon the Texas capital. There we engaged in hand-to-hand networking, performed reconnaissance at various screenings, and detonated what was perhaps the most explosive Vimeo feature in the history of online video: Vimeo On Demand!
Head to the Vimeo Staff Blog for our recap of SXSW 2013 >
Hey SXSW, you may not know this yet, but no one parties quite as hard as Vimeo and The Barbarian Group. Peep the deets and get pumped >
Calling all Austin artists! In about a month we’ll be throwing one helluva SXSW party, and we need your help to make it especially radical. Are you a performer, installation artist, projection mapping master, or the doer of some other form of visual art that has yet to be discovered? Send your portfolio our way!
We’re also taking recommendations from those that aren’t creators themselves, but happen to have keen pals. Make haste and show us that sweet, sweet eye candy!
Who’s headed to SXSW 2012?
A bunch of Vimeo Staffers will be running around the main streets and back alleys of Austin, Texas over the next few days, so keep an eye on the Vimeo Twitter to see where we are and what we’re up to. There are few things we love more than hanging out with our awesome community! We’re also hosting a number of Vimeotastic screenings at the SXSW Theater in the Austin Convention Center:

- Drawing Inspiration
Wednesday, March 14 from 7:30-9:30pm

Plus, Vimeo’s own Blake Whitman is participating in a couple of panels (all at the Convention Center) you don’t want to miss:

Saturday, March 10 from 2-3pm in Room 15
- Next Stage: Cinematic Storytelling and Journalism
Monday, March 12 from 12-1pm in Exhibit Hall 3/4
In addition to our curated screenings, Vimeo will be projecting a selection of sweet eye candy at 622 San Jacinto and at the corner 7th Street & Red River on March 14-17 from 8pm-2am. So if you find yourself wandering around those areas, look up!
